PX Carbonnew

A drone company built the scariest motor in the sport. This is the bike to put it in.

I'll be honest: when DJI said they were making an e-bike motor, I rolled my eyes. Then the numbers came out. 150 Nm in Boost. Around 1,500 W peak. In a full-power bike that weighs about what a lot of 'mid-power' bikes weigh. That's not an upgrade, that's a category reset.

The PX is Amflow's second swing and it's the one that made everybody else nervous. It's light, it's sharp, and it climbs things that used to require walking. The flip side is that this much power takes some self-control — and Avinox doesn't have Bosch's years of long-term reliability data yet.

If you want the most motor per pound you can buy right now, I don't think there's a debate. Get the cheaper carbon build and spend the difference on lift-free laps.

What I like
  • Wild power-to-weight
  • Light for a full-power bike
  • Sharp, modern geometry
What I don't
  • Avinox is still new — limited long-term data
  • Smaller dealer network than the big brands

Long-term test pending. Amflow, if you'd like this one ridden and reviewed in full, let's talk.
