There's a reason everyone compares their bike to a Levo. Specialized has been doing this longer than almost anyone, and the fourth-gen bike feels like a company that has stopped guessing. The 3.1 motor is smooth rather than shouty, the 840 Wh battery is the biggest in this lineup, and the suspension is tuned by people who obviously ride.

Is it the lightest? No. The most powerful? Not even close anymore, now that DJI showed up. But it is the one I'd hand to a friend who wants one bike to do everything for five years without thinking about it. The app is good, the adjustability is wild, and the range means you stop doing battery math on big days.

If you only buy one e-MTB, this is the safe bet that doesn't feel like a compromise.

What I like
  • Class-leading 840 Wh range
  • Refined, quiet motor
  • Huge adjustability — head angle, BB height, chainstay
What I don't
  • Heavier than the new Avinox bikes
  • Top builds get very expensive

Long-term test pending. Specialized, if you'd like this one ridden and reviewed in full, let's talk.
