Vitus took a Bafang motor that most people associate with cheap commuter bikes, had it tuned properly, and put it in a long-travel enduro frame. The result is a bike with 160 mm at both ends and 95 Nm for well under four grand.

The trade-offs are where you'd expect. It's heavy, the base VR fork is a SR Suntour rather than RockShox or Fox, and the 630 Wh battery is on the smaller side. Bafang dealer support is also thinner than Bosch or Shimano, so check that before you buy.

But the geometry is modern and the reviews have been genuinely good. If you want big travel on a small budget, nothing else here comes close.

What I like
  • Huge travel for the price
  • Strong 95 Nm motor
  • Modern enduro geometry
What I don't
  • Bafang service is harder to find
  • Budget fork on the base build
  • Heavy

Long-term test pending. Vitus, if you'd like this one ridden and reviewed in full, let's talk.
